Mr. Donald Jenkin

 

Mr. Donald Jenkin was born New Zealand in 1947. He has a BSc and MSc(Hons) in chemistry from the University of Auckland. He continued his studies at the University of California, Berkeley, completing a PhD in Wood Science and Technology. Upon his return to New Zealand in 1976 he worked as a research scientist at a government research institute for nine years.

In 1985 he joined Westralian Forest Industries in Perth, Western Australia, where he held a number of senior management positions in technology and operations. In 1994 he was appointed CEO of Dyno Industries (WA) Pty Ltd which was the first of a series of positions and directorships held with the Dyno (subsequently Dynea) group of companies in Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and China. He also served on a number of industry and technical committees including as chairman of the ISO subcommittees for particleboard and medium density fiberboard. During his time in Australia he completed an MBA at Curtin University in Perth.

 At the end of 2011 he retired from Dynea but remained as a director of Dynea Pakistan Limited. To meet the requirements of directors in Pakistan he undertook a course at the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance to become a certified director in April 2013. In addition to his involvement with Dynea Pakistan Ltd. he does technical adults of panel board plants according to Japanese Industrial Standards on behalf of the Engineered  Wood Panels Association of Australasia.

Mr. Lee Kin Seng    

 

Mr. Lee Kin Seng, Chief Executive Officer of AICA Asia Pacific Holding Pte Ltd (AAPH) and Senior Vice President of Southeast Asia & Oceania, AAPH.    Mr. Lee has over 28 years of experience in AAPH gained in various roles since he joined as a Chemist in 1992 and was appointed Senior Vice President, Industrial Adhesives, AAPH in 2016.   Mr. Lee is leading AAPH in achieving its vision of being a Leading and Responsible Adhesives Manufacturer, aiming to enhance people’s living environment and infrastructure, as well as leading towards the overall success and development of the group of Companies in AAPH.

Ms. Anam Fatima Khan

 

Ms. Khan has a Master of Laws LL.M. degree from the University of Pennsylvania, U.S.A and a Business Law Certificate from Wharton Business School. She also has a Bachelor of Laws LLB degree from the University of Nottingham, U.K.

Since 2013 Ms. Khan has headed the Legal Department at Indus Motor Company Limited, one of the largest public listed companies in the country. She served as the Company Secretary for four years, and Board Ethics Committee Secretary for two years.  In 2019 Ms. Khan was also appointed as the Head of Corporate Legal affairs for the House of Habib group of Companies.

Ms. Khan is an active member of various professional organisations including Pakistan Business Council and the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI) legal committees, as well as the OICCI Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) Subcommittee, which reviews and advises on local IP policy and legislation. She has completed the Corporate Governance Leadership Skills (CGLS) training through the Pakistan Institute of Corporate Governance, and is also certified by the International Finance Corporation (IFC) to conduct train directors of listed companies in issues pertaining to corporate governance.

Mr. Adnan Afridi

 

Mr. Adnan Afridi is at present Managing Director – National Investment Trust Limited.

 

Mr. Afridi has 24 years’ international experience in Change Management, business transformation, innovation and profitability enhancement in blue chip companies, public sector and start-up situations. He has led a distinguished career in financial services and capital markets including serving as Managing Director of the Karachi Stock Exchange, CEO, Overseas Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI), Chairman of National Clearing Corporation of Pakistan (NCCPL) and Board of Directors of Central Depository Company (CDC). Mr. Afridi has also served on multiple listed company boards including Silk Bank Limited and Gul Ahmed Textile Mills Limited. Currently, Mr. Afridi is a Member of the SECP Policy Board. Mr. Afridi has a degree in Economics (A.B, Magna Cum Laude, 1992) from Harvard University and a degree in Corporate Law (JD, Magna Cum Laude in 1995) from Harvard Law School. Mr. Afridi is an active supporter of charitable organizations. He has served as the President of the Old Grammarians Society & Trust and is currently Chairman of the Board of Governors of the Kidney Center. He is also a Member of YPO Pakistan since 2008.

Mr. Andalib Alavi

Mr. Andalib Alavi joined Dynea Pakistan Limited as an Independent Director on November 26, 2019. In addition, he also holds a position of Group Head Legal in the House of Habib.  Prior to joining House of Habib, Mr. Alavi was  associated with Engro Corporation for over 25 years as Head of Legal and Company Secretary. While at Engro, Andalib closed major critical projects like the joint venture with Vopak of Netherlands to set up a chemical terminal at PQA, Polymer-Asahi partnership for setting up Engro Polymer and also spearheaded (from a legal standpoint) other breakthrough projects like the billion dollar new fertilizer plant of Engro Fertilizers,  LNG terminal for Pakistan, Thar mining and power projects, and Engro Foods transaction with Royal Friesland Campina. After retiring from Engro he was head of legal and company secretary of Shell Pakistan for two years.  Mr. Andalib Alavi graduated from the London School of Economics with a LLB(Hons) and then became a barrister at Lincolns Inn.

Mr. Shabbir Abbas


Mr. Shabbir Abbas is a Fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer of Dynea Pakistan Limited in 2009. Prior to joining Dynea Pakistan Limited he worked for the House of Habib company, Shabbir Tile & Ceramics Limited, for 15 years where he held various senior management positions in finance, procurement, marketing, sales and production. Before joining Shabbir Tile in 1993, he had gained substantial experience in finance and accounts management at professional firm of Chartered Accountants, industrial and trading organisations in Pakistan and abroad.

Mr. TARIQ AHMED KHAN

Tariq Ahmed Khan is Sr. Director – Corporate Strategy and Regulatory Affairs at Indus Motor Company ltd. and concurrently appointed as a Group Director – Strategy for Auto Engineering group, House of Habib. Tariq is currently assisting Indus Motors and Group Company CEOs and committed to make House of Habib Pakistan most trusted business house by adopting increasingly intelligent management practices that are connected to increasingly intelligent business world around us. In a current capacity of Senior Director – Corporate Strategy & regulatory affairs, he is facilitating and assisting Indus Motors CEO in formulating corporate strategies, investment decisions, promoting localization and regulatory compliance. He is also involved in interacting with industry association such as PAMA, PAPAAM and government regulatory bodies EDB, PSQCA for policy formulations according to company and group strategic vision and long-term goals. Being representative of the Toyota technical leader in Pakistan, he transformed the plant capacity & productivity, supply chain management and localization from basic to advance level. He pioneered the introduction of JIT, Kaizen, Jidoka and various techniques of Toyota Production System in Pakistan auto industry. Tariq Ahmed Khan has started his career as an Engineer in 1990 I in Indus Motor company & led several departments in his 30 years journey in Indus Motor Company Ltd. He headed Production Engineering, Production, Maintenance, Product Development, Marketing, Manufacturing and complete Technical division. Tariq Ahmed Khan was born and educated in Karachi, Pakistan. Right from an early stage he had a passion for science subjects and specially mathematics – attributes that later led him into one of Pakistan’s most respected engineering institutions – N.E.D University of engineering & technology, Karachi. Tariq graduated in mechanical engineering and master’s business administration with major in Finance. Tariq’s academic marvels are from Duke University – USA, Windsor Castle - England, Toyota Institute – Japan, ISB (Indian school of business) & LUMS Eager to pass on the valuable knowledge, Tariq had written inspiring book, namely “Japanese Management”. He is certified & coach Toyota Production System, Six Sigma, Taguchi function loss, and lean manufacturing.
